Official Wolverhampton Wanderers Annual 2020
If any Wolves fan thought that Nuno Espirito Santo’s first season at the Molineux helm – a spectacular title-winning Championship success – created enough memories to last for many years, then the man himself had other ideas.
Because the 2018/19 season, Wolves’ first back in the Premier League for seven years, might just have gone that one step further.
A seventh-placed finish, the club’s highest for 39 years, was enough to secure a return to European football for the club which pretty much created the idea of that competition back in the glory days of the 1950s.
Wins over Manchester United (twice), Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in the Premier League, and Liverpool in the FA Cup en route to a semi-final defeat at the hands of Watford, demonstrated that Wolves were definitely not tehre just to make up the numbers as Fosun’s hugely ambitious blueprint for the club gathered yet more pace.
So let’s take another look back at some of the fantastic highs of the 2018/19 campaign, whilst also casting an eye forward, and wondering just what could be next on the back of such momentum and optimism.
The Official 2020 Wolves Annual is another must-have for all those of a gold and black persuasion to reflect on another Golden Year in the club’s history, packed with news, views, quizzes and top quality photography to digest and savour.
